Drive north to Ancient Mantineia, where the circuit of walls, the theatre and the foundations of public buildings stand in an open plain, the site of the famous battle of 362 BC. In the afternoon, continue to Vytina and the fir forests of Mount Mainalo for a short walk among the trees and lunch in one of the town’s tavernas.
